Abstract
When an infrared CO2 analyzer was calibrated with a gas mixture containing 21% O2 in the reference and measuring cells and then measurements performed with the same gas mixture with increased O2 content in the measuring cell, an apparent increased response was obtained to a particular CO2 concentration. This apparent increase was not due to increased sensitivity but was due to an increase in the "zero" position of the analyzer. The "zero" position of the infrared CO2 analyzer decreased as the CO2 concentration of both reference and sample cells was increased. Keywords
