Abstract
- - The combined ability of sociology and public health to solve the riddle of major chronic diseases and mental illness has been disappointing. This continued failure most likely can be attributed either to insufficient diagnosis of etiological factors or inability to alter the etiological situation. These sources are discussed in terms of the social etiology and ecology of disease, and medicine and health care as an institution. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
