Benign Fetal Ascites Associated with Maternal Polyhydramnios: A Report of Transitory Ascites in Two Newborn Infants

Abstract
Two cases of transitory ascites in the newborn period associated with maternal polyhydramnios are described. No predisposing cause was found in either infant but the possibility of an abnormality in the fetal circulation is suggested.Keywords
