Abstract
A trematode of the genus Microphallus is recorded from a raccoon (Procyon lotor) collected in Pickaway County, Ohio. This is the first member of the genus to be recorded from a warm-blooded host in North America. Evidence is not yet sufficient to justify description of this species as new, since it is similar in many ways to previously described species. Additional information is given concerning Microphallus ovatus from turtles. This trematode is found to reach its maximum development in the map turtle (Graptemys geographica). Keywords
