Derivatives of π-cyclopentadienyl complexes of Group VI metals with metal–metal bonds to copper and gold

Abstract
Stable compounds containing metal-to-metal bonds between the Group VI metals Cr, Mo, and W and copper and gold have been prepared. Their properties are discussed. They have the general formulae (Triarsine)-Cu–M(CO)3(π-C5H5) and R3P→Au–M(CO)3(π-C5H5), where (π-C5H5) is the cyclopentadienyl group. The R3P groups employed were PPh3, P(OPh)3, and P(cyclohexyl)3.
