Abstract
A case of ulcerative colitis complicated simultaneously by toxic megacolon and hemorrhagic leukoencephalopathy is reported. Both complications were treated surgically and the patient recovered. This case probably represents the first histologically verified case of acute hemorrhagic leukoencephalitis with recovery. Keywords
