Abstract
Women (95) were treated with .beta.-adrenergic fenoterol for periods lasting as long as 9 wk to try to avoid premature labor. ECG studies and regular controls of the creatine kinase isoenzymes which is specific for cardiac muscle were carried out to avoid myocardial damage as was MB [myocardial band] creatine kinase. [Fenoterol did not induce myocardial enzyme toxicity when given over a long period.].
