Abstract
Proton groups from cobalt targets bombarded with 5-Mev deuterons from the MIT-ONR electrostatic generator have been analyzed with a 180-degree focusing magnetic spectrograph. The ground-state value for the reaction was found to be 5.283±0.008 Mev. The 60-kev metastable state and thirty-four additional excited states were observed and their values measured.
