Abstract
A simple parametrized form for the dynamic local-field factor, which enters the expression for the dielectric function of an electron liquid, is proposed. The parametrization is such that it satisfies both the low- and high-frequency limits exactly. The relation of such a local-field factor to the time-dependent local-density approximation is examined. The dynamic structure factor, the plasmon damping, and the stopping power of a homogeneous electron liquid are calculated with use of a proposed complex dynamic local-field factor. Keywords
