Abstract
In recent years geological concepts of the structure, history, and development of the Earth’s crust have been rapidly modified in the light of new geophysical and geochemical data. It is now possible to formulate with greater precision the problem of the inter-relationships between geological structure and geological processes observed at the surface on the one hand, and the deep structure of the crust and upper mantle on the other hand. Keywords
