Abstract
Gc group determinations were perforned in 609 persons living in the South of Finland, in 107 Finns living in Lapp-land, in 63 Finn-Lapps and 64 pure Lapps, in 109 families with 233 children, and in 80 mother-child combinations. The gene frequencies in Finns living in the South of Finland were estimated to be Gc10. 772 and Gc 20. 227. The Gc1gene frequencies in Lapps, in Finn-Lapps and in Finns living in Lappland were also comparatively high. The results of the family study corresponded well with the simple Mendel-ian inheritance law. The Gc groups were fully demonstrable in the cord blood samples. The theoretical exclusion rate is calculated at 14. 4%.Keywords
