The survival rates of tuberculous meningitis at 8 mos. were 15.6% among 32 patients on short term streptomycin therapy; 60% among 15 patients on prolonged streptomycin and NaPAS; and 87.5% among 16 patients on prolonged streptomycin, NaPAS, and isoniazid. In the latter group, the avg. daily dosages at start of treatment were 2 g of streptomycin, 16 g of NaPAS, and approx. 10 mg /kg of isoniazid.
