Abstract
This article examines the retail pornography industry, with emphasis placed on illicit activities conducted by retail operations. The article examines the overlap between retail pornography operations and other forms of vice (prostitution, drug distribution, gambling). The findings are from data gathered in an observational study of 26 retail operations in the Philadelphia area. Allegations that the pornography industry creates a foundation for other vice activities are examined. Keywords
