Abstract
Seasonal occurrence and intensity of Perkinsus marinus was determined for subtidal and intertidal oysters, Crassostrea virginica, from two areas with different salinity regimes in South Carolina. Relationships between salinity, temperature and gonadal stage to this pathogen were not evident. Historical mortality data from the two study sites were compared and success of intertidal oysters could not be correlated with low incidence or intensity of P. marinus. Keywords
