Interference Effects in Photoproduction ofMesons

Abstract
A recently proposed model for the observed shift in the mass in photoproduction experiments is examined in detail. It is shown that if this model is correct, certain observable effects on the helicity density-matrix elements are predicted. Numerical predictions are made for some typical energies and production angles.
