Abstract
The spectral distribution of the light scattered in the forward direction from the dilute solution of optically anisotropic flexible macromolecules has been calculated based on the spring and bead model (the Rouse model) with the Kirkwood-Riseman approximation. The calculated spectrum is the superposition of various Lorentzian curves, each of which corresponds to the internal mode of the intrachain movement of flexible macromolecules. It is also found that each mode contributes to the scattered intensity with equal weight. Keywords
