Abstract
We show experimentally that the output light of a single-mode semiconductor laser is changed into chaotic light after passage through a narrow spectral filter. Simple linear filtering allows us to distinguish between different statistical models of laser phase noise. The experimental results agree with the phase-diffusion model. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
