Abstract
Normal desoxyribose nucleic acid P and ribose nucleic acid P values for the bone marrow and spleen of the albino rat are given. The rate of incorporation of P32 into these fractions were also studied. An anesthetic dose of Na pentobarbital depresses the rate of P32 incorporation into the desoxyribose nucleic acid P fraction of bone marrow and spleen without similarly depressing the uptake by the ribosenucleic acid fraction. It is further demonstrated that the admn. of the anesthetic produces an increased spleen wt. A simplified technic for obtaining whole marrow specimens is presented. Keywords
