Abstract
Nine patients with polymyalgia rheumatica and biopsy-proved, systemic, giant-cell arteritis had significant abnormalities of liver function. The abnormalities were reversible with steroid suppression of the arteritis activity. Awareness of this association should enable the clinician to recognize and diagnose this condition and to facilitate prompt and appropriate treatment of the underlying arteritis. Keywords
