Abstract
We consider the Landau theory of an almost-localized Fermi liquid with a very large ratio. We argue that this system has a superconducting transition to a -wave state. We estimate , calculate the specific-heat discontinuities at , and discuss phase stability. Using available experimental data for and , we find that our results for this model are in good agreement with the known experimental values for heavy-fermion compounds.
