Abstract
A kinetic equation is derived for a dense gas of loaded spheres. This is accomplished as a straightforward generalization of the Enskog theory for ordinary, rigid spheres. The normal solution of this kinetic equation is then constructed according to the method of Chapman and Enskog. From this solution accurate estimates are computed for the thermal conductivity and for the coefficients of shear, bulk, and vortex viscosity. Keywords
