Abstract
The “nanoshock technique” for generating shock waves in molecular materials at high repetition rates is described. Ultrafast spectroscopy is used to study shock waves in crystalline anthracene, a high explosive NTO, and a molecular nanomachine, the heme protein myoglobin. Keywords
