Abstract
Trans‐stilbene photoproduces appearing from the photoisomerization of cis‐stilbene within 150 fs are observed to be vibrationally hot, but with a nonthermal population distribution. The product electronic spectrum depends on the incident photon energy. Clearly, intramolecular vibrational energy redistribution is not ultrafast. Keywords
