Effects of UHF Fields on Plants and Seeds of Mesquite and Beans*

Abstract
Bean and mesquite plants were exposed to UHF fields sufficient to kill them and resulting temperature increases measured. Seeds of beans were treated with exposures to UHF fields sufficient to substantially reduce germination. Equivalent amounts of heating in water were also performed on the seeds and effects compared to establish the extent of the damage due to thermal and non-thermal effects.
