Abstract
The -x-ray emission spectra for Li and Be and the -x-ray emission spectrum for Na have been recorded. In each case a single low-energy and a single high-energy satellite were observed. The low-energy satellites are associated with the creation of volume plasmons, while the high-energy satellites result from double ionization of the relevant core levels and do not involve plasmons.
