Fine-Structure Measurements ofandTerms in Singly Ionized Beryllium by the "Zero-Field Quantum-Beat" Technique

Abstract
The fine-structure separations for the and terms () in singly ionized beryllium have been determined from the modulations present in the beam-foil lifetime-decay curves. Comparison with theory shows good agreement. Relationships between cross sections for the magnetic sublevels are established.
