Abstract
The theory for high-frequency envelope solitons, propagating along a plasma cylinder, is generalized. It is then shown that previously neglected second harmonic terms are of the same order of magnitude as the nonlinear density terms, if the axial wavelength is comparable to, or larger than, the cylinder radius.Keywords
