Abstract
Early in 1974, the entire medical stall resigned from the Regina Community Clinic over a dispute with the lay board of directors. The turbulent history of this pioneer consumer-sponsored clinic is reviewed and documented. The affair provides a case study in the conflict between the traditional professional dominance of doctors and the demand of consumers for a role in decision-making in areas of health care delivery. Keywords
