Abstract
We present a unique approach to the manufacture of thin film chalcogenide solar cells. Glass beads are covered with Copper Indium Disulfide (CIS) and further processed into cells. The different process steps are described and the advantages discussed. The glass beads are covered with metallic precursor layers of copper and indium having an atomic ratio of 1.25. Sulfurization is carried out under atmospheric pressure using different H2S/Argon mixtures. The influence of sulfurization temperature and chemical bath deposition (CBD) conditions on cell performance was investigatedKeywords
