Abstract
Angular distributions of the polarization transfer coefficients , , and (Wolfenstein parameters , , and were measured at 16.2 MeV for elastic scattering. The angular range covered was 30° to 90° (lab) in 10° steps. The experiment used a polarized proton beam of 150 to 200 nA, a liquid-nitrogen cooled gas target, and a -filled proton polarimeter. The transfer coefficients are well described by an -matrix analysis of the system.
