Abstract
Values of ionization and attachment coefficients can be determined from (log I, d) plots by a process of curve-fitting, but to obtain accurate values a knowledge of I0, the initial photoelectric current, is required. Methods of determining this quantity are briefly described and the accuracy of the various methods investigated in a strongly attaching gas, CCl2F2.Keywords
