Abstract
2, 4-Di-O-benzyl-L-fucose, a potential synthetic block of inner L-fucose residue having → 3) - α -L-Fucp(1 → linkage, was derived from methyl 4, 6-O-benzylidene-α-D-altropyranoside in 10 steps in 33% overall yield. The efficient formation of 5-enopyranoside by the modified dehydro-bromination and the chemoselective deacylation in the presence of O-benzoyl groups are characteristics of this synthesis. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
