Abstract
Rutaecarpine and dehydroevodiamine were isolated from the unripe fruit of E. rutaecarpa. In vitro uterotonic assay on rat uterus showed both alkaloids to be active. In the in vivo uterotonic assay using rats as the animal model dehydroevodiamine was active. Reference evodiamine hydrochloride was devoid of uterontonic activity at the doses administered. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
