Abstract
Chemical control of Contarinia sorghicola (Coquillett), attacking grain sorghum, Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench, in Argentina can be effectively accomplished with the same chemicals used in Texas. The average weight of threshed grain per head was increased by most treatments even when one-half the recommended rates were applied only once. Carbophcnothion, diazinon, toxaphene, and carbaryl were among the best compounds tested. Keywords
