Abstract
This article describes the development of a nurse-managed clinic in an urban environment. The clinic provides primary care services to persons who do not have health insurance. One primary population served is urban American Indians. Perceived barriers to care are discussed. Cultural sensitivity is addressed and patient situations are presented.Keywords
