Abstract
The classical syndrome of envenomation is described and four recent cases, including one in an addendum, are reported. The cases indicate the unpredictability of the clinical course and outcome. Recommended management of patients is outlined, as specific treatment is most unlikely to be available in the immediate future. Keywords
