Ankylosing Spondylitis in a Canadian Indian Population

Abstract
A careful survey of adult Haida Indian males for ankylosing spondylitis disclosed a point prevalence of definite disease of 6.2%, the disease being defined by the Rome criteria. This prevalence was markedly higher than previous estimates in other communities. It was unlikely to be related to psoriasis or Reiter''s syndrome.
