Abstract
It has been possible for some years to rear artificially-fertilized herring eggs through to metamorphosis making experimental studies on the larval phase of the life history practicable (Blaxter, 1968). However, a comprehensive larval staging system has not previously been published. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
