Abstract
The intravenous and subarachnoid routes of immunization were equally effective in the induction of antibody synthesis in rabbits. In many instances, circulating antibody was detected earlier following subarachnoid injection of antigen. The implications of these findings in the pathogenesis of "autoimmune" diseases of the nervous system and hypersensitivity reactions to the intrathecal administration of drugs are discussed. Keywords
