Abstract
Extract Josland (1954) Josland, S. W. 1954. The immunogenic properties of Salmonella typhimurium in sheep. N.Z. vet. J., 2: 2–7. [Taylor & Francis Online] [Google Scholar] showed that sheep vaccinated with various preparations of Salmonella typhimurium produced antibodies which were detected in serum by the direct agglutination reaction. In view of the possibility that, in certain circumstances, salmonellosis of sheep results from the oral ingestion of the organism and its subsequent multiplication in the gastro-intestinal tract, it was considered of interest to determine the distribution of antibodies in the various body fluids of vaccinated ewes with particular attention to the fluids from the gastro-intestinal tract. Keywords
