Abstract
Two fertile hybrid plants were obtained from reciprocal crosses of colchicine-doubled plants of T. repens (2n=64) and T. nigrescens (2n=32). F1 and l1 progeny of these hybrids had 2n=48. Cytogenetic evidence concerning the hybrids suggests that T. nigrescens may be one of the ancestors of amphiploid T. repens. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
