Abstract
An investigation was carried out to determine the range of Reynolds numbers for which flow shear does not affect drag in a Couette flow, and to measure the wall effects on the drag of cylinders and spheres. A moving belt Couette‐flow apparatus is described, and observations of mean flow are given. Keywords
