A Photographic Method of Determining the Distribution of Radioactive Material in Vivo

Abstract
A descr. is given of an apparatus which renders it possible to obtain a photographic picture of the distr. of a radioactive material. A concn. of 10[mu]. C/cm.2 of the isotope is required. The resolving power seems to be satisfactory for many practical problems. The apparatus consists of a Pb plate, with a large number of square holes which collimate the radiation, a photographic plate, and a crystal plate which amplifies the radiation effect on the photographic plate; it has been successfully used in studying the distribution of I131 in thyroid tissue.
