Abstract
Cats on a thiamine deficient diet for 1-2 wks. showed an avg. increase of 50% in the length of time they were able to maintain respiration in an atmosphere of 3.25% oxygen. Cats on restricted food intake such that they lost 15 to 20% of their body wt. within 1-2 wks. showed an even greater increase in resistance to low O2 tension. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
