Abstract
Design and construction of a broadband ENDOR system with circularly polarised RF-fields, CP-ENDOR, are described. The instrument operates in the frequency range of 2-50 MHz. Details of a new X-band microwave cavity construction suitable for the generation of left- and right-hand rotating as well as linearly polarised RF-fields are given. The configuration of the circularly polarised RF-field in the microwave cavity is investigated. The degree of polarisation over the sample volume is demonstrated. An example where the number of ENDOR lines in a single crystal is drastically reduced using CP-ENDOR is presented. Keywords
