Abstract
The yield of ejected electrons from the decay of helium autoionising states excited by low-energy electron impact has been analysed as a function of incident electron energy in the region 61-65 eV. Small structures are visible in these spectra and it is shown that at least some of these are caused by the decay of high-lying negative-ion states into the autoionising-state channel, and thence into the ionisation continuum. Keywords
