Abstract
A succinic acid derivative of halofuginone was synthesized that could be easily bound to carrier proteins for halofuginone-specific antibody production. N-trimethylsilylimidazole was used to protect the hydroxyl group on halofuginone. Hydrolysis after treatment with succinic anhydride afforded the required derivative. Keywords
