Abstract
A review of the literature on self‐mutilation of male genitalia and/or auto‐castration reveals that they are infrequent and usually related to psychoses or toxic states. In this report the authors present a case of a 17‐year‐old non‐psychotic Japanese male who mutilated his genitalia under clear consciousness because of a conflict over his frequent masturbation. Keywords
