Abstract
Experience with 50 applications has shown that insertion of a pulse generator into a stretch Dacron pouch is a valuable technique. The cloth cover tends to reduce postoperative oozing, and to fix the pulse generator to the tissues. This prevents pulse generator migration, extrusion, and manipulation by the patient. The stable position of the pulse generator also permits accurate measurements of the electrical impulse amplitude, a useful factor in pacemaker surveillance. Keywords
