Abstract
The master equation of a mean-field-model ferromagnet in contact with a thermal reservoir is studied using Zwanzig's projection technique. The method provides a general scheme for perturbation expansion, and it leads to the same result as that previously studied by Goldstein and Scully in the lowest-order perturbation. Keywords
